Who I am
The story behind the work
I’m Jacki Labat — an Atlanta native, proud Hampton University alumna, entrepreneur, nonprofit founder, community advocate, mother, grandmother, and a woman who has never been particularly interested in staying in just one lane.
My professional journey began long before I launched my own ventures. From my early career working with Mrs. Coretta Scott King to my years in corporate America, I gained invaluable experience in leadership, relationship-building, business, and the importance of service.
Working alongside Mrs. King was especially meaningful. It shaped my understanding of legacy, community responsibility, and what it means to use your influence to make a difference.
Eventually, I stepped away from corporate America and into entrepreneurship, building a career that allowed me to bring together my interests in business, politics, community engagement, fundraising, and creating memorable experiences.
Over the years, I’ve managed political campaigns and fundraising initiatives, produced golf tournaments, supported community organizations, and built ventures that reflect both my professional experience and personal passions.
And somewhere along the way, life handed me a few experiences I never saw coming — including breast cancer — that would ultimately inspire some of my most meaningful work.
But there’s much more to me than my professional accomplishments. I’m a proud mom and grandmother, a dog mom, a loyal friend, a woman of faith, and someone who loves a good laugh, a great conversation, and bringing people together.
I’ve learned a lot about life, love, resilience, reinvention, and the importance of remaining true to yourself.
And I’m still learning. Still growing. Still creating.
The work continues. And so does my story.
